@exile yea it sounds pretty cool, almost on ps3's hardware level now.. im thinkin im just gonna cheap out an get an arcade though. all my xbox data is on a 32gb USB stick and i really only played a handfull of games. kindle ready means nothing to me.. it might be a cool party trick thing but i dont care lol. also i too was hard wired.. actually i have a logitech play link. 2 lil recievers with a 100ft range.. no setup or software. plug one into pc on into box.. good to go.

I appreciate the kind words fellas, thanks. I played 3 games with PUBLIC NME 1 in regular dm around a week ago. He's tough to beat, lost to him all 3 times. 2 games were really close (lost by 1 and 2 kills) and the other got beat pretty handily. I've been playing a lot recently in both dm servers and have run into a lot good players. Some worth mentioning that haven't yet been named are: MAnd|brOT SeT -- incursionlvl1, MATT MCCLEAD, El Colostomizer, Crazee W3lshman, ginger700, AlignedEcko1972.. all are great players. PrinceSkyGod and furyofman and pretty good as well. I don't remember playing Kheshire or chaostwofivetwo but I was inactive from december through june.

@Exile - I really am glad you decided to stay on xbox or I might have just sold mine. I must have missed you today, I got up way too early to wake n bake with one of my mates and wound up sleeping through most of the day.

@chaos - if you manage to down 15 gel shots, don't forget to yell "BIOHAZARD!"

I shall keep my eyes peeled for Mr. PUBLIC NME 1. The name sounds vaguely familiar, but I may have just seen it on the leaderboards. I do try to play different times of day, but alas my work schedule is pretty harsh. Been moving to the evenings as of late, as I've been finding more players as the sun goes down. I'll look for cux66, too.

As for functionality, aside from the neat touch buttons (and timed drawer-close) the sleek really doesn't "feel" any different. I don't think we'll have to worry about the rrod on this----it's ALL fans, all the way around it. It's also remarkably quiet by comparison. Out of the box the basic sleek comes with: 1 controller (+2 Duracell), 1 headset, 1 Console, 1 power cord (seems same as last), 1 a/v connecter.

As an aside: this version is "Kinetic" ready... which will be a $140 addon later. There's some other slight differences, but nothing noteworthy.

Three things I didn't like:

I was disappointed that the a/v connection did not include the HD jacks. Looks the same as the old one though, so I may try those later.
No rechargeable battery pack or charge cord included. Wtf? I went straight back out and bought one---'cause there's no way I was going to use the white one on a black controller. LOL
They still haven't fixed the D-pad from that awful circular thing. Just awful to try using it for fighting games like tekken or Soul Calibur. Sony still owns on the controller. *shrug*

I almost went PS3 'cause I was so mad at M$----but looking at my games investments changed my mind. Was it worth it? Yeah, i have to admit it was. If only to still play UT3, L4D and the rest.

And hey, i know what you mean on the cash front. Go make us a bio-gel shot... we'll both feel better about it, lol.

@ exile personally i prefer not to play low grav, not sure we have ever had a match that wasnt on low grav? My play time as of late has been cut due to the gf moving in 2-3 matches a day is as much as i can sneak in lately. Finally had my name above yours the other day,....you started half way through though... I told the gf you useually beat me by as much as i beat others next match you proved that fact

@xX Exile Xx try playing at different times of the day to find dif good players.. i think PUBLIC NME 1 was strictly regular DM as well. i remember having to change how i played cuz he camped the big powerups.. he was the only person i ever played that beat me by a ton of kills. but i eventually figured out his tricks :P

cux66 was also a cool dude. i played on his host quite a bit when excessive was empty

Speaking for the 360 LG Dms... chaos's list is entirely accurate. Though I don't think I've ever played PUBLIC NME 1.

First Tier REGULAR players:
BakingBread, chaostwofivetwo, smokestraw 85, lightsonthevibe, and Kheshire.

That list equals major Ouchies. The kind that make me want to curl up in bed and not look at my 360 for a week. I guess that's why I like them so much.

Other notables that will give you a good run for your money if you're not paying attention:
RckyMtnDrgn, BarmyGenie, Redxan, EPHSidKgUyiJdk, TableTennisTurk, Equilibrium.

Most (not all) of the second tier guys will probably move up to the tier above it if they stay regular in LG DM and play out the rest of the year. You'll know which are which as you come across them. I say not all because a couple of those second tier guys were around before me and now they leave the match when I come in.

As for the "modding"? Don't let this little sissy-whiner-kid get you down, DuXxX. You're a strong competitor-----and you should damn well expect to continue to get reactions like this from players you toast. If I had a nickel for every nasty message in my inbox of someone calling me a cheat or just swearing at me, we'd all be haning out in a mansion made to look like Shangri La pounding bio-gel shots and smoking grenades. I'm sure the other guys will say the same.

Yeah I wish I could play more on xbox, I moved out of the house where I used to play it. I'm also one of those people who is terrible at duels, but I'd argue I was a top 5 dm play on xbox. I could count on two hands the amount of times i've lost in a dm match. Lost in biohazard once to Exile, twice in Defiance, once in risingsun and once to pengalengz in sanctuary. Lost once to tabletennisturk and once to smokestraw, not sure where. Those four were the best dm players.

I've never lost in kbarge or fearless. I think i've finished 1st every other time I've ever played a dm match, but that's really only in the Excessive server. I don't think there was anyone else who could contend with those, plus rckymntdragn and lightsonthevibe. I'm probably forgetting somebody! Props to you all.

I also played minnow in a duel and I didn't get one kill on him. Gotta know your strengths! For me, lo grav dm.

yea exile was always challenge in low-grav.. once the server changed to normal though i stayed, its much faster and twitchy compared to low-grav. low-grav is fun once in awhile tho.

just play alot and you'll get good, simple as that.. and you asked who the best is so you can get better? whoever is always at the top in matches lol. none of the guys with crazy skills are around anymore.. if you look at the top of the ranked dm leaderboards you'll see some legends. half are guys i used to play in Quake 4.. some are actual pro gamers like Hurrikan and Lex is FnA

my xbox rrod in may i believe and ive had a lot of things come up, so havent gotten a new one yet but i hope to soon. i miss ut3 very much

the best players i played in DM were Kheshire (spelling?), PUBLIC NME 1, xX Exile Xx, smokestraw 85, a few others that i cant remember. its been a month or two since i played. pengalenz is good in dm too but he lags alot and will quit sometimes or time out. i also remember Baking Bread at the top a lot when i first started.. but i never got to play him when i got good :(

i only played UT3 for a month and a half but got quite good at dm.. **** at duels tho lol.

alot of players are ridiculously good at duels but dont win dm matches.. dont get it?

listen people. you must understand latency, and what happens when a server lags or your connection lags. when i host duels sometimes the other guy flashes and moves funny. do i call him a hacker? no. weird **** happens.

i wish Excessive would come in here and educate the uninformed about servers and ping and packets and latency.

i had an entire month where id lose only a handful of deathmatches a week. people on here can back me up. if there were all these modders they sure did a horrible job of modding. every single time ive had to battle for number 1 the other top guy didnt have perfect accuracy and died just like everyone else. how can this be explained? @DuXxX yes. ppl boost. if you've ever seen dragonflyz350 hosting he boosts. YOURGODMAKER too. they host matches with cheap modifiers in the same map over and over and over.. they'll just play with bots most of the time, and rack up their kill count.

Proving that there are modders on ut3 seems to be harder than proving theres not. As far as using them it would be easy to get away with such as with an aimbot you would only need to pull the trigger enough to stay ahead, wall hacks would be an atvantage too I don`t see why they wouldn`t. You would only use hacks enough to stay ahead but not expose yourself. I`ve experienced what I think were obvious hacks on ut3. You have to give a better reason than nobody does that or you just aren`t any good, stop whining, it`s not possible, noob. I`m not going to name names but there are a few players I dont like to play with because weird things happen everytime when I do. There are top notch players I play with and this never happens with them.

NOBODY mods in ut3. the base of players is very small.. modders are almost strictly in popular ranked laddered games. halo's, MW's, BF's etc.

think of what the person has to gain. risking a ban and bragging rights to like 20- 30 people? no. If you look at the leaderboards none of them are hacked scores ( boosted maybe ). ut3 has a small under the radar community. if there ever was a modder they didnt stick around for long.

someone using an aimbot would be winning by 40+ kills and EASILY recognized. using a wallhack (seeing through walls) is pointless because of the speed and number of bot and players. a speedhack would be immediately noticed. a lag switch can only be used by a HOST, its NOT possible in dedicated servers, and all the duelers left know eachother. there is NO magical lag mod.

lag and latency in online games can give you all kinds of weird things. get a better connection, or get the f**k over it.

I recently caught something on video that I think was a modd. I was invited to a duel in progress and everything was fine just a little laggy. The host was up on us a few then I started to feel a zone and started killin it with the lead when something strange happend. I could no longer jump and my movement was slower with the host unaffected. After I was killed the same thing happend to the other dueler when spectating. Ive seen mods like this on youtube for MW2. If I think someone is running a mod I record it. Words are just words without proof. Modds take the game out of gaming imo.

i usually dont get into the middle of nonsense like this so im only goin to say one thing. im a warfare player so i can admit i dont have that great of an aim. but i have done both of those. shooting a random rocket down a hallway, guess what sometimes actually hits someone. as for the flak grenade, its clearing the corner ur about to go around so u dont catch a rocket to the face. and/or it is predicting/ bating someone. so if you want to try and call someone out please have more and better facts. and now im out of it.
