yes the servers definately still track your stats for player matches, but I WOULD like to get that achievement too. The only problem with ranked is that you need a certain # of players to join the game before it will allow you to begin, so I always end up sitting either alone or with 1 or 2 other players for extended periods of time before getting bored and leaving. So if anyone else would like to play ranked, text me and/or friendme on xbox live. My gamertag is SouleErrore.
except the dedicated server part ther is an option to host dedicated servers on there it just dosent work sometimes it involves that hole port fowarding thing
no one plays ranked because theres no option to set up a dedicated server for ranked mode. Ill start playing ranked mode if more people start getting into it. And don't QUIT just because of achievements thats weak
i think its a shame to that thers no ranked matches but if i recall the leader boards also track how well you preform compared to others on player matches so its not like your not being ranked and besides thats no reason to stop playing ut3 just cuz theres no ranks
Hey, many people out there like me would like to get the "Equal opportunity destroyer" achievement which requires you to win a ranked match in every game-type, but in recent plays of the game i found myself finding very few or none at all matches.
Now, its not that i can not win these matches, its just the fact that throughout the entire multiplayer, people only seem to play "player matches" when it would make sense to play ranked matches as 1. you could get an achievement and 2. you can see your rank.
I love UT3 but find it a shame that no-one plays ranked matches, and if your reading this then i urge you to start playing Ranked matches instead of player matches, or if any UT3 staff are reading then please make some dedicated servers for ranked matched instead of player matches. If nothing is done within the next few months then i have no reason to play UT3 and i may just sell it.
So please vote on whether Epic should switch to Ranked matches instead of player matches
